At the plate
Wait until the pitch reaches home, then press Space to
swing or B to bunt. Timing sends the ball left or right.
Watch wide curves: four balls earn a walk.
Press → to run one base. Your lead runner stops at
the bag automatically, even if you keep holding the key. Release and
press again to advance another base. Press ← to turn back. Other
forced runners advance automatically.
In the field
With the pitcher holding the ball, press a direction to pitch: ↑
fastball, ↓ changeup, ← / → curves. Diagonals vary the curve speed.
On a hit, select a fielder by number and use arrows to chase the
ball. Once he has it, press the recipient’s number to throw.
3 first, 6 second, 1 third,
0 home. Return the ball with 2 to start the
next pitch.

Online multiplayer
Select 2 players · online, create a private room,
and send the invite link to a friend. Both players click Ready to
play. The creator is red; the guest is blue. Each uses arrows or
WASD, Space / Enter to swing, B to bunt, and the number pad or top
row for fielders.
P pauses for both players. Both click Ready to resume. A
disconnected player's seat is reserved for reconnecting in the same
browser tab. Games last while this server is running; deployments
reset rooms.
The 1980 rules
All hits are grounders: fielding a ball is never an automatic out.
Throw ahead of a forced runner or tag him between bags. Hits can
bounce off the wall; a perfect swing can leave the park. Nine
innings, then extras to a decision.
Modern additions: a computer opponent, pause, touch controls, and
clearer player markers. This is a recreation, not ROM emulation.
